Lawyers found dead in each other’s arms in plane wreckage after flight dropped off radar & vanished three days ago

TWO lawyers who vanished while flying an ultralight plane three days ago have been found dead inside the wreckage. The bodies of Carlo Arnulfo, 64, and Angela Buccico, 56, were found embracing in the cockpit of the crashed aircraft in Cosenza province, Italy. On day three of the search, a woman alerted rescuers that she had seen the aircraft flying at a low altitude near her home in Fuscaldo, Italy. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! An Italian Air Force helicopter located the wreckage in an inaccessible woodland after spotting white fragments in the trees. Rescuers followed a trail of debris, before being lowered 148ft into the crash site. The two lawyers likely died soon after crashing as their burnt bodies were found embracing inside the cockpit. Ground teams later recovered their bodies, as well as collecting key evidence for an investigation, such as the aircraft’s black box. Investigators aim to use flight data to reconstruct the aircraft’s altitude, speed and trajectory before it crashed. The ultralight planned to fly from an airfield in Capo d’Orlando, Sicily, to the Sibari airfield in Cassano allo Ionio, Calabria. The two were on their way to Angela’s seaside home. Investigators also want to establish whether the weather and the mountainous terrain contributed to the crash. Prosecutors want to hire a technical expert to identify any potential liability through negligence. Carlo, who had more than 30 years of experience as a pilot, was flying the aircraft when it crashed. As a member of the Rome Bar since 1991, he was a highly regarded criminal and civil lawyer whose clients included celebrities and politicians. Angela specialised in civil law at Studio Legale Buccico, which was founded in 1947 by her grandfather Rocco in Matera, Italy. She mostly worked at the Rome office, whilst also teaching at the School of Advanced Legal Training. Her father, Emilio Nicola Buccico, served as a senator, mayor Matera and president of the Matera Bar Association. Her brother, Rocco Michele, is Matera’s current deputy mayor. Comment now
