Launched This Week: Canon EOS R8 Mark II, Asus Vivobook lineup, Oppo K14 Lite and 6 more

This week brought a little bit of everything, from powerful gaming laptops and affordable smartphones to cameras, audio gear, displays and a robot vacuum that can clean your floors. Apple’s latest flagship is not just mighty for its price, but also comes with the company’s new and most powerful A20 Pro chip, built on 2nm technology, along with a bunch of other upgrades. But let’s set the iPhone 18 Pro aside for a moment, because there was a lot more happening in the launch market this week. We got two new cameras, a new gaming laptop, a 7,000mAh battery-packed smartphone, a powerful robot vacuum and even a bunch of new audio products.So, it’s Friday, and we’re here to get you covered on everything new that landed this week. There’s quite a bit to catch up on, so let’s dig in.Asus Vivobook lineupFirst, let's take a look at the new laptops Asus dropped this week. The company is giving users plenty of options depending on what they need. The new range includes the Vivobook S16, S14, Vivobook 14 Flip, S14 Flip and Vivobook 16, with features such as lightweight all-metal designs, AI-enabled processors, OLED displays and long battery life. The Flip models also come with 360-degree designs and stylus support, while some models promise up to 38 hours of battery life.There are quite a few prices to keep track of here. The Vivobook 16 starts at Rs 89,990, while the Vivobook S14, S16, S14 Flip and 14 Flip are priced at Rs 1,18,990, Rs 1,21,990, Rs 1,09,990 and Rs 1,79,990, respectively. The laptops are available through Asus stores, its e-shop, retail partners and e-commerce platforms. Along with the laptop lineup, the company has also launched the Wireless Silent Mouse MW103 for Rs 649. MSI Cyborg 15 MaxWe have another laptop in this week’s launch roundup, and this one is for gamers. MSI has brought its Cyborg 15 Max series to India. The lineup includes the Cyborg 15 Max C2W and C13W, with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 GPU and up to 130W of total system power. Both models feature a 15.6-inch FHD 144Hz display with 100 per cent sRGB coverage, while the laptop weighs around 2kg and is about 21mm thick at its thinnest point.The Cyborg 15 Max starts at Rs 1,59,990 for the C13W, while the C2W models are priced at Rs 1,67,990 and Rs 1,79,990, depending on the configuration. The laptops come with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage, with RAM expandable up to 96GB.ViewSonic Pro AV Now, if you’re just looking for a new display for your workspace or business, ViewSonic has introduced a whole range of Pro AV solutions in India. The lineup includes new LED displays, professional monitors, interactive displays and projectors, along with a new Google TV series available in 32-, 43-, 50-, 55- and 65-inch sizes.The new range includes a 34-inch professional ultrawide monitor, a foldable dual-screen portable monitor and a 105-inch 5K interactive display. ViewSonic has also introduced a short-throw laser projector with 6,000 ANSI lumens and WUXGA resolution. Sony FE 8-14mm F3.5 Fisheye GThis week, there are two new additions for photography fans, and the first one comes from Sony. The company has launched the new FE 8-14mm F3.5 Fisheye G lens, its first fisheye zoom G Lens for full-frame Alpha E-mount cameras. It covers an 8mm to 14mm range, with a 180-degree circular fisheye view at 8mm and a diagonal fisheye perspective at 14mm.The lens weighs around 314g and has a minimum focusing distance of 0.15m, while Sony says its autofocus is fast and precise. It is designed for both stills and video and has a dust- and moisture-resistant design. The FE 8-14mm F3.5 Fisheye G is priced at Rs 1,79,990 and is available from September 17 through Sony Centres, authorised dealers, major electronics stores, Amazon and Flipkart.Canon EOS R8 Mark IIThe next option landed this week from Canon, which has launched the EOS R8 Mark II, a new full-frame mirrorless camera in India. It comes with a 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and weighs around 546g with the battery and card. It also gets 5-axis in-body stabilisation, Dual Pixel CMOS AF II and continuous shooting at up to 40fps with the electronic shutter.For video, the camera can record 4K at up to 60fps and Full HD at up to 180fps. Canon has also added features such as new colour filters, Creative AUTO mode and background blur controls for video.The EOS R8 Mark II is priced at Rs 1,78,995 for the body in India. The release also lists the Extension Grip EG-E2 at Rs 9,995 and Tripod Grip HG-1000TBR at Rs 11,495.Sony Inzone H6 AirComing to the audio side, Sony has also launched the Inzone H6 Air, its open-back gaming headset designed for immersive sound without feeling too heavy during long gaming sessions. It weighs just 199g without the mic and cable, making it the lightest headset in Sony’s Inzone range.The headphones, supports 360 Spatial Sound for positional audio, features an open-back design for wider, more three-dimensional sound field. There’s also an RPG/Adventure equaliser profile developed with SIE.The Inzone H6 Air comes with an aluminium housing and can connect to PCs, smartphones and PS5 controllers through a 3.5mm audio cable or USB Type-C audio box. It is priced at Rs 17,990 and is available through Amazon and Sony’s ShopatSC portal.U&i Ultra Box, Sonic Series and Epic SeriesU&i has also added quite a few new audio products to its lineup this week, ranging from a rather powerful 600W wireless speaker to smaller portable speakers and affordable TWS earbuds. The Ultra Box gets Bluetooth 5.0, LED lighting and multiple connectivity options, while the Sonic range includes six compact speakers with different power outputs, battery life and connectivity options. The Epic Series earbuds, meanwhile, come with a low-latency gaming mode, 32dB active noise cancellation and up to 50 hours of playback. U$i Sonic series The Ultra Box is priced at Rs 7,349, while the Sonic speakers start at Rs 349 and go up to Rs 499. The Epic Series TWS earbuds cost Rs 1,049. Oppo K14 LiteNow, for readers looking for a new smartphone under Rs 20,000, let’s take a look at what Oppo has added this week. With RAM prices rising and smartphone prices under pressure, finding an affordable phone is getting a little harder. But Oppo has added a new option with the K14 Lite.Oppo K14 Lite, packs a massive 7,000mAh battery alongside a 120Hz display. The phone has a 17.15cm HD+ LCD panel with up to 900 nits peak brightness, while the Unisoc T7250 processor is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It also gets IP64 protection, a 13-megapixel rear camera and some AI-powered imaging features.The Oppo K14 Lite starts at Rs 16,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant and is available through the Oppo e-store and Flipkart. Select bank offers bring the effective price down to Rs 15,999, with a three-month No Cost EMI option also available. The phone comes in Stone Brown and Feather Purple.Milagrow iMap G5 UltraWhile you’re checking out all the new gadgets, why not assign the cleaning to someone — or something?
