Late Singer Lou Koller Insisted That Sick of It All “Keep Going” After His Death

Pete Koller, guitarist of Sick of It All and brother of late vocalist Lou Koller, has revealed that the singer wanted the veteran New York hardcore band to continue following his passing. Lou passed away in July at 59 years old after a battle with esophageal cancer. On Sunday, Pete released a video message via Instagram, where he said, “Before Lou passed, he said a couple of things that he wanted us to do. He wanted us to keep the band going, and I’m not sure how we’re gonna do that, but we’re working on it.” He continued, “And he wanted to tell everyone thank you for giving him such an amazing life. Touring the world, your job is playing your favorite music, stuff like that.” Earlier in the video, he also thanked the numerous people who contributed to a fundraising campaign to help cover mounting cancer treatment costs for Lou. He concluded the message by saying, “Anyway, we have some things in the works, and I will keep you all posted. And thanks again for your support.” Watch the full video message from Pete Koller below.
