Two women who apparently turned up late for an Aeroflot flight at Moscow Sheremetyevo decided that the end of boarding did not mean they had to stop trying. They’re on video out on the ramp, one pulling a rollaboard bag, heading toward their aircraft which was being towed out. The towing operation stopped, ground workers and police intervened, and the women were escorted away. There was never a world where they were getting on that plane. Two passengers who missed their flight reportedly ran onto the tarmac at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport on July 25, heading directly toward an Aeroflot aircraft, with one woman even dragging her suitcase behind her. But one question immediately comes to mind: How did they get… pic.twitter.com/M3I73YhUt5 — Aviation Reporter (@TripppleSeven7) August 8, 2026 The incident reportedly took place July 25. Several reports say this happened on the runway. Obviously that’s not the case. The aircraft door was closed. The plane was being moved away from the gate. I’m not even sure how the passengers were going to get into the aircraft, even if it stopped and waited for them? They’d have to bring out a set of air stairs or bring the aircraft back to the jetbridge? These women managed to pass through a secured door and got close enough to stop operations, though. Russian law appears to provide up to a 5,000 ruble fine for a negligent transport security violation. That’s only about $60. The penalty can go as high as ~ $360 for an intentional violation. A nearly identical incident occurred in Tyumen, Russia in May. A passenger reportedly missed boarding for a flight to Norilsk while he was in the restroom, ran onto the apron hoping to stop the aircraft, and received a 3,000 ruble fine. The plane left without him. Passengers ran across the ramp after a Wizz Air aircraft that had already pushed back. A father and son climbed down a jetbridge and onto the tug pushing their AnadoluJet flight. And a late passenger at Denver pushed through an emergency exit, stopped a United pushback tug and demanded to board. Topics on this page
