Lane Johnson has missed three straight practices at Eagles camp for non-injury reasons

It’s unclear why Johnson isn’t practicing, but his absence has been described as excused and not injury-related.The 36-year-old Johnson is a two-time first-team All-Pro and one of the Eagles’ most important players. Philadelphia’s offense faded down the stretch last year after Johnson suffered a foot injury in Week 11 and missed the rest of the season.Johnson’s absence has given third-round rookie Markel Bell opportunities to work at right tackle with the first-string offense. Bell was a left tackle in college at Miami but will learn both sides in the Eagles’ offense while backing up both Johnson on the right side and Jordan Mailata on the left.
