Lande Hekt Announces New EP Threadbare: Hear “Circles”

Earlier this year, the former Muncie Girls leader Lande Hekt released Lucky Now, her first solo album since her band broke up in 2023. It was lovely. Today, Hekt announces plans to follow that record with a new EP called Threadbare, and it seems likely that this record will be just as lovely, at least if we're judging by its lead single. Lande Hekt's new song "Circles" is a delicate, shimmery indie-pop gem full of jangling guitars and sighing vocals. It would've been prime college-radio material in the early '90s, which means it's prime indie-blog material today. In a press release, Hekt says, "I wanted to try and push for something slightly more positive, which I’m trying to do more of generally — just to not fall apart."
