Published October 8, 2026 01:22 PM Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said on Wednesday that “there’s a lot of time between now and Sunday” when asked about quarterback Lamar Jackson’s chances of playing against the Falcons on Sunday night. It’s now Thursday and there’s no sign that Jackson is moving closer to the lineup. Reporters at the open portion of the team’s practice note that Jackson remains off the field due to the ankle injury that knocked him out of the Week 4 win over the Titans. Minter said that Jackson does not necessarily need to practice in order to play this week, but doing no work before the end of Friday’s practice won’t create much reason to believe he’ll be on the field in Atlanta. Tyler Huntley will start if Jackson is out with rookie Joe Fagnano as the backup. Linebacker Trey Hendrickson (finger), cornerback Marlon Humphrey (hamstring, calf), and center Cam Jurgens (concussion) were also missing during the open portion of practice.
