Officers spotted the online clip and swung into action, tracking the truck’s route using CCTV and launching a search. They eventually stopped the mobile pool at the junction in the city’s Chengdong district yesterday. The truck was classed as a freight vehicle, which are banned from carrying passengers under Chinese road laws. Xining traffic police said the cargo bed had no seats, seatbelts or safety barriers.
