Good morning, folks! We have a massive rubber match set for tonight in The Basketball Tournament. With the three-game series tied 1-1, La Familia will host The Ville in Memorial Coliseum with the winner moving on in the $2 million winner-takes-all bracket. We’ll be hoping for a repeat of what happened in Game 1 as opposed to the disaster that was Game 2. But we have some good news to inspire some optimism. Willie Cauley-Stein, who has been dealing with an ankle injury, is expected to play tonight after struggling to make it through Game 2. After La Familia helplessly watched Montrezl Harrell go off for 35 points on 14-16 shooting, head coach Jon Hood will need the size down low. It also sounds like Archie Goodwin will suit up tonight, too. He missed the first two games for La Familia (and the internet let him know about it) but expects to take the floor. Goodwin’s scoring punch will be huge if he does end up giving it a go. He led La Familia in scoring last summer at 18 points per game. Does Twany Beckham have another roster addition or two up his sleeve? He said he has options, but they just need to get to Lexington. Just purely speculating, Andrew Carr and Lance Ware have wrapped up their NBA Summer League runs. They’d sure help with battling Harrell in the paint. Marcus Lee is also still technically on the roster. Lee showing up would be another boost for the UK alums. Tonight’s tipoff in Memorial is set for 6:00 p.m. ET on FS1. There are still some tickets available. With WCS and Goodwin back on board, La Familia should be in a better position to pull out the win. Having the BBN backing them should only add fuel to the fire. Let’s get this dub. The KSR Football Guys are still in Tampa to cover day three of four at SEC Media Days. Jaxon Jelkin signs with Phillies Jaxon Jelkin emerged as a frontline starter in the SEC for Kentucky in 2026. The former Nebraska and Houston right-handed pitcher had battled through injuries and finally put a full season together. That turned into a big opportunity. The weekend ace officially ended his college career this week once he signed with the Philadelphia Phillies. Jelkin was the final pick in the fourth round of the 2026 MLB Draft. At No. 135 overall, the projected signing figure was $558,400, according to MLB.com. The 23-year-old is now a pitcher in the farm system of this NL East franchise.
