Local residents immediately entered the pond and tried to rescue Das from the car, but their efforts failed. They informed the police and the fire department about the incident.A police team and fire department personnel reached the spot and began a rescue operation. After nearly an hour of efforts, they used a crane to lift the car out of the pond. However, Das had already drowned while trapped inside the submerged vehicle. The unconscious woman was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.According to local sources, Das had taken her daughter to school on a scooter earlier that morning. She then parked the scooter and began practising driving the car, as she did on other days.
