Kokua Line: Is audit letter about home exemption legit?

Question: I received a letter in the mail to provide continuing qualification documentation to verify that I’m still allowed to receive my current home exemption. The letter says it’s from the Real Property Assessment Division for BFS. It is requesting sensitive material like my 2024 State return and 2024 Federal return.
