KMSCON 10.0.2 debuted today as the latest update to this leading user-space terminal emulator for Linux systems. KMSCON is built around Linux's KMS/DRM interfaces and the most viable alternative to date for in-kernel VTs. KMSCON is used by default on KDE Linux, GNOME OS, the upcoming Fedora 45, and more as a replacement to the in-kernel VT code. With KMSCON 10.0.2 there is now asciicast playback support for terminal sessions. The asciicast JSON-based file format is for terminal session recordings produced by the asciicinema command-line utility. In addition to the KMSCON asciicast playback support, KMSCON 10.0.2 adds a blink configuration option, improved recovery on failed atomic DRM mode-sets, 8x16 font improvements, fixing mouse button ordering for inputs, and a variety of other bug fixes.
