KJ Apa, Isabel May and Archie Renaux YA Romance ‘Falling’ Getting North America Theatrical Release From Brainstorm Media (EXCLUSIVE)

“Falling,” the London-set romantic drama starring KJ Apa (“Riverdale”), Isabel May (“Scream 7,” “Mr. Irrelevant”), and Archie Renaux (“Alien: Romulus”), is set to hit cinemas, having been acquired by Brainstorm Media for North America. The Gulfstream Pictures film — from writer/director brothers James and Colin Krisel — will launch theatrically on Oct. 9, following by a Nov. 10 VOD release. International sales are being handled by Voltage Pictures. According to the description, “Falling” asks the question: What if the woman of your dreams was also dreamt by your best friend. “‘Falling introduces us to the anti-fairytale romance of an impossible love triangle between lovers and friends, set against the backdrop of endlessly inviting London locales,” it reads, adding that the trio of stars “confront the all-too relatable modern dating complication of preserving relationships while seeking self-fulfillment.” Popular on Variety “We are thrilled to be working with Gulfstream again on another fantastic romance,” said Brainstorm CEO Michelle Shwarzstein. “KJ Apa, Isabel May, and Archie Renaux have a real chemistry on screen, and it’s exactly what makes this love triangle so fun to watch.” Added the Gulfstream principals: “We were thrilled to see this gem of a film find its way to a theatrical release with such a stellar cast of KJ, Isabel, and Archie – from emerging filmmakers, The Krisel Brothers.” Producers on “Falling” are Mike Karz and Bill Bindley of Gulfstream Pictures, Matt Luber and Lena Roklin of Luber Roklin Entertainment, Piers Tempest of Tempo Productions. Executive producers are Apa, Dakota Rosen and Tom Salentine. The project was financed by Gulfstream Pictures and Clerendon Road Productions. Gulfstream has financed a slate of titles picked up by Amazon MGM for worldwide distribution including current releases, “Pretty Lethal,” “Upgraded,” “One Fast Move” starring Apa, and “The Other Zoey” starring Renaux.
