The Heartstopper star joins a growing ensemble cast. Connor will appear alongside Sadie Sink, who portrays Jean Grey, and Samara Weaving, who has reportedly landed the role of Emma Frost. Following the news of Connor's casting, artist BossLogic shared new fan art on Instagram imagining the actor as Cyclops. The stunning image gives the actor a look that seems to be inspired by the mutant hero's comic book appearance. It also offers eager fans an early idea of how he might look once his iteration of the character officially suits up as one of the MCU's new X-Men. Plot details for Marvel Studios' X-Men reboot remain shrouded in mystery. So, it is still unclear whether audiences will meet an iteration of the team that has already been established in the comics or watch the mutants come together for the first time with a completely different dynamic. The film is expected to launch a new era for the MCU, but whether Professor X will assemble the team in Avengers: Secret Wars or if the character will do it in the reboot remains to be seen.
