Yesterday, one of the biggest and strangest gaming leaks in some time rocked everybody’s world out of nowhere. For still unknown reasons, Steam’s backend caused achievement lists for tons of unreleased and unannounced games to go live, resulting in sites like Exophase and SteamDB gaining access to the information. The two biggest games that were hit by the achievement list leak were unarguably Kingdom Hearts 4 and Persona 6, two games that are more than a year out. Kingdom Hearts 4’s achievement list was particularly painful, as it revealed pretty much every Disney world in the game and shared tons of details. As it turns out, it gets even worse. We won’t be sharing any of the achievements here or specific details, but there really is a lot. The Japanese achievements give more detail on the number of world visits, some major plot points and when they happen within the game, further explanation towards new gameplay mechanics, and even potentially line up a massive plot twist. Some of the achievements are a little more tame, but there are some massive ones in there and it's worth avoiding the whole thing if you can. Sadly, I saw a lot of this being spread around before even seeing this roundup post, so the floodgates have clearly been breached. While I understand the argument that Disney worlds were going to be revealed anyway and that they’re not a massive deal overall, the information included in this leak is much more severe when it comes to actual spoilers for the whole series. You really need to be careful now if you’re dodging Kingdom Hearts 4 spoilers, which is a shame considering we’ve got a whole year left.
