As if the last few weeks haven't been busy enough in the world of gaming thanks to Gamescom, GTA 6's big gameplay reveal (as well as all the leaks), and a stacked State of Play, Nintendo decided this week was perfect for even more news. Yesterday saw the big 40th anniversary Zelda Direct, but today's showcase is a lot more exciting. That's because today is the general Nintendo Direct, which means that anything and everything could be announced. Going in, we only knew that the Direct would be exclusively focused on Nintendo Switch 2 games, leaving the door wide open for what could show up. Lo and behold, one of the big surprises of today's Nintendo Direct was a Switch 2 port of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Royal Edition Announced At Nintendo Direct Henry Is Going Portable During today's Nintendo Direct, it was confirmed that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is getting ported to the Switch 2 with the aptly titled "Royal Edition". The port will be launching at some point in 2027, and comes with all of the game's expansions and downloadable content packs. Perhaps the biggest surprise of KCD2 coming to the Switch 2 is that it actually looks like it runs quite well. As one of the most detailed and expansive open-world RPGs in recent memory, you'd expect it to struggle more on a handheld, but that apparently isn't the case here. We love to see it! While it was nice to see Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 at the Direct, a Switch 2 port of the game has been rumoured for quite some time now.
