King Risk Partners Acquires The Roberts Agency in Connecticut

Florida-based King Risk Partners has acquired The Roberts Agency, Inc., an independent insurance agency based in Bloomfield, Connecticut. This acquisition strengthens King Risk Partners’ presence in Connecticut while expanding its construction insurance and surety bonding capabilities throughout the region. In addition to construction insurance, The Roberts Agency also provides a broad range of commercial insurance, specialty coverage, benefits, and homebuilders programs. The Roberts Agency was founded in 1963 by Robert M. Wolcott in 1963. His three children have been involved in the agency. Robert’s daughters, Jennifer Semple and Laura Langan, owners of The Roberts Agency, said that joining King Risk Partners gives the agency access to additional resources and expanded capabilities while allowing their team to continue the personal attention and collaborative approach they want for their clients. Robert’s son, Paul Roberts, former CEO of the agency, passed away in 2019. King Risk Partners now has more than 50 locations on the Eastern seaboard from New Hampshire to Florida, including six in Massachusetts, six in Connecticut, two in New Hampshire and one in Rhode Island.
