‘King of Drag’ Season 2 Sets New Host, Judges Panel and September Premiere Date (EXCLUSIVE)

Cameron Esposito has been tapped to host Season 2 of the reality competition show “King of Drag.” Esposito, a stand-up comedian and author with roles in “Take My Wife” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” will host the eight-episode season filled with more challenges that will test each king’s originality and artistry. The Kings’ Court judges include “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 13 contestant Gottmik, “Our Flag Means Death” star Vico Ortiz and “King of Drag” co-creator and executive producer Damian Pelliccione. “We are bringing an extraordinary host and group of guest judges to the Kings’ Court,” show co-creator Christopher J. Rodriguez said in a statement. “Cameron Esposito brings bold new energy and razor-sharp wit to the series, while guest judges Dustin Lance Black, Yvie Oddly and Ginger Minj turn Season 2 into must-watch television.” Popular on Variety Season 2 premieres Sept. 20 at 9 p.m. ET on Revry. Guest judges include Oscar-winning screenwriter Black, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 11 winner Yvie Oddly, “Stop! That! Train!” star Ginger Minj, “King of Drag” Season 1 finalist Henlo Bullfrog, “King of Drag” Season 1 contestants King Perk and Big D, “The Daily Beans” podcast co-host Dana Goldberg, “King of Drag” theme song writer Frankie Simone and “Pose” actor Laith Ashley. A handful of Season 1 contestants will also make cameo appearances, including Tuna Melt, Charles Galin King, Pressure K, Alexander the Great and Buck Wylde. Last year’s guest judges included Cole Escola, Lisa Rinna, Paul Feig, Bridget Everett, Layshia Clarendon and Jeff Hiller, among many others.
