Although Guilfoyle was engaged to Donald Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. — dating him for around six years — the President seemed to downplay his connection to her. “She, I guess, dated my son a long time ago,” Trump said during a press briefing. “But she went to Greece. She was doing a good job, but we didn’t like what we were reading.” The White House asked her to resign yesterday following three bombshell articles in the Wall Street Journal. No one will go near her.” One article delved into her close personal ties with Christos Marafatsos, a Maryland-born lobbyist for the Greek construction firm Aktor Group. Reports claim she pushed his company over other firms and that Marafatsos sat in on official meetings so often that foreign officials thought he was her chief of staff.
