Four years after sparking controversy for wearing Marilyn Monroe's dress to the Met Gala, Kardashian had the chance to wear another piece of jewelry once owned by a showbiz icon: Elizabeth Taylor. The reality star turned actress, 46, recently tried on Taylor's multimillion dollar emerald and diamond necklace while visiting the Bulgari store in Rome.So special the relic - which was given to Taylor by her ex-husband Richard Burton - a store employee wore white gloves while handling it. Kardashian posted photos of the visit to her account and gushed about the 'special' experience, but not everyone shared her enthusiasm over the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. A friend and fan of Taylor, Kardashian even served as executive producer of a three-part documentary about the actress. She was the last person to interview the Hollywood icon before her passing in 2011 in discussion covering her iconic jewelry collection and thoughts on social media. 'When she passed away, I was brought into her home [and] shown her safe with all of her jewelry before they cleared it out,' Kardashian, who has a penchant for wearing items belonging to dead celebrities, told the Bulgari team in the clip. 'So, I was able to see everything in her home and her jewelry still in her safe and all of her stuff still [there], her furniture,' she went on.
