A killer who raped and murdered a five-year-old girl asked for his execution to be moved up to avoid harsh prison conditions, according to the sheriff who worked on the case.Jeremy Tremaine Williams, 42, died by lethal injection on Thursday after he was convicted of killing Kamarie Holland in December 2021.Williams sexually abused and strangled Kamarie after offering her mother $2,500 for the child to perform a sex act. He filmed the attack and kept the girl's body to continue abusing her.Her naked body was found in Williams's duplex in Phenix City, Alabama, concealed beneath a car tarp.Despite his depravity, Williams used his last words to insist he had been absolved.'I want to thank God for forgiving me for my sins so I can meet him in peace,' he said, according to the Associated Press. The twisted killer swayed his head back and forth before he smiled and appeared to sing or speak. He finally became still and was pronounced dead at 6.16pm.His death came after he wrote to ask for his execution to be expedited, a move Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor said was to avoid violence in jail.
