From a fresh challenger to winner, Avinash Mishra got his name written in history. On Sunday, the television actor lifted the Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 trophy, beating actor Rithvik Dhanjani and internet sensation Orhan Awatramani aka Orry in the grand finale, where the trio took on the season’s biggest challenges, including the high-octane helicopter-to-water stunt. Apart from the trophy, Mishra also took home Rs 20 lakh prize money, a Europe trip and a brand-new car.Hosted by Rohit Shetty, Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 returned to television after a two-year break and took the contestants to Cape Town for a season packed with heights, underwater challenges, heavy machinery and the much-talked-about ‘Pain Auction’. This time, the show also introduced a ‘Champions vs Challengers’ format, bringing seasoned Khatron Ke Khiladi contestants face-to-face with a new crop of challengers. For Avinash, the show became a major test and, eventually, a chance to change how he was perceived. Known largely for his television work and good looks, the actor steadily established himself as one of the season's strongest stunt performers. His performance during Team Week was one of the early highlights of his journey. His performance across a series of difficult stunts also earned him a custom Fear Jacket signed by Rohit Shetty. But the real turning point came during an underwater stunt. Avinash went up against seasoned contestant Karan Wahi and managed to secure a place in the Top 5, becoming the first finalist of the season. From there, he continued his run all the way to the finale and eventually emerged as the winner.Avinash Mishra on winning Khatron Ke Khiladi 15After his victory, Avinash said the show was less about proving himself to others and more about discovering what he was capable of.In a statement, the actor said, "Winning Khatron Ke Khiladi feels special because I thought I signed up for the show with a point to prove, but along the way, the person I ended up proving it to... was myself. I have spent years being associated with television and, yes, with being the good-looking guy on screen. I enjoyed that journey, but I also knew there was so much more I wanted people to see in me,” he said.Talking about what the show taught him, Avinash added, “Most of this journey was actually about the mind. You can prepare yourself physically, but when you are standing at the edge of something terrifying, there is no performance left – it is just you, your fear and the decision you make in that moment. I came to Khatron Ke Khiladi wanting to test myself; I am leaving with a belief in myself that I didn’t have before. That, for me, is the biggest victory.”Karan Wahi and Farrhana Bhatt were the other finalists of KKK 15.- Ends
