Kern Public Works hosting second July tire drop off Saturday

Kern County is gearing up for its second tire recycling event this Saturday, aiming to help residents safely dispose of old tires. The event takes place at 12001 East Tehachapi Blvd. from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. This initiative is part of a series of three events planned to tackle the issue of tire waste, which can be hazardous to both the environment and wildlife. By recycling tires, the county is promoting a cleaner, safer environment while also preventing potential fire hazards associated with tire piles.
