Kerala Minister’s assurance on bringing home Anjana’s body from U.S.

Sports Minister O.J. Janeesh visited the family of Anjana Hari, who was killed in Milpitas, California, and assured them that every effort would be made to expedite the procedures for bringing her body back home.The Minister visited Anjana’s residence at Thekkoot in Pananchery and met her family members, offering assurances that the government would actively intervene to ensure that her mortal remains reach her home at the earliest.Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan had spoken to Anjana’s family over the phone, the Minister said, adding that further follow-up action would be taken on the issue.“Such cases can sometimes face delays because of legal procedures. However, considering the circumstances, the government will make every possible effort to ensure that the body of their daughter is brought home without delay,” Janeesh said.The Minister also spoke with Anjana’s father, Haridas, and her father-in-law, Vijayan of Vilangannur, during the visit.Anjana’s death in California has left her family in deep grief, as they await the completion of official and legal formalities to bring her body back to Kerala.
