Kentucky Volleyball vs. Texas A&M upgraded to ABC

The Kentucky Volleyball team is rolling, and today, we got even more proof of the sport’s surging popularity. Kentucky’s match vs. Texas A&M on Sunday, October 25 at Historic Memorial Coliseum, a rematch of last year’s national championship, has been upgraded from ESPN to ABC. It will now begin at 1 p.m. ET, two hours earlier than originally scheduled, with Courtney Lyle, Holly McPeak and Michella Chester on the call. If you’re going, don’t worry; all purchased tickets will still be valid. As mentioned, Kentucky will be looking to avenge last season’s loss to Texas A&M in the national championship. The Aggies swept the Cats 3-0 on that day in Kansas City. Kentucky won the regular-season meeting 3-1. This year, Texas A&M is 4-4 and ranked No. 19 in the AVCA rankings. Kentucky is No. 3, with last night’s sweep of No. 18 North Carolina taking the Cats’ record to 6-1. Kentucky vs. Texas A&M is one of a dozen televised matches for the Cats this season, two on ABC. They’ve already played on network TV once, last Sunday’s match vs. Penn State in Wrigley Field on FOX. Next Sunday, Sept. 20, they’ll play their first match on ABC against rival Louisville. That starts at 3 p.m. ET at Historic Memorial Coliseum (get your tickets). First, Kentucky takes its winning ways to the Bahamas for the 2026 Paradise Invitational at BahaMar Resort. The Cats open the event vs. No. 8 SMU Saturday at 2 p.m. ET. Unfortunately, that match won’t be televised, but you can stream it on ESPN+. Depending on the result, Kentucky will either play at 1 or 5 p.m. ET on Sunday against the winner or loser of No. 14 Purdue and Houston. Those games will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2.
