Will Stein called his shot ahead of Kentucky‘s game at Texas A&M—his first SEC road trip as a head coach. “I’m telling you, I was watching ’em play two-hand touch in pregame. They’re not ready,” he told the Wildcats in the locker room before kickoff. “They’re not ready for the ****ing storm that’s about to hit College Station. The way that you’ve prepared has prepped your body, your mind and your soul to go out there and attack. They haven’t played an SEC game yet, y’all have. You’re battle-tested. Go win this ****ing game. Trust your training, cut it the **** loose. “Band of brothers, we’re going out there together.” That led to one of the best all-around performances in recent program memory, with the Wildcats bringing the storm to Kyle Field in a 31-21 victory, including a stretch of 28 unanswered points from the end of the first half to the start of the fourth quarter. Kentucky debuted its new “unKut” video series after its win over Youngstown State—the football equivalent of basketball’s popular “The Journey” features. Now, at long last, we get a behind-the-scenes look at that special day in College Station. And, folks, let me tell you, it’s an absolute treat. We get to hear from the coordinators and position coaches, Stein’s halftime speech to set up that wild third quarter, some direct in-game communication between the staff and players, Tom Leach’s call over all of the best highlights, and, of course, the postgame celebration. “Unbelievable job,” Stein told the team after the win. “We talked about being the eye of the storm? Man, we are the ****ing storm! We are the storm.” Enjoy all 13 minutes, then watch it on replay all week long until we get to the team’s Week 4 matchup against South Alabama: Pardon me while I find a wall to run through. Those will never get old.
