Kennedy Center to recognize Paul Anka, Andy Garcia, Barbara Mandrell at off-site Honors ceremony

This year, the Kennedy Center is set to honor a diverse group of talents including playwright David Mamet, songwriter Paul Anka, composer David Foster, actor Andy Garcia, and country music singer Barbara Mandrell. The ceremony will take place off-site due to a legal dispute over renovations and the inclusion of President Trump's name in the institution's title. This recognition highlights their significant contributions to the arts, and the off-site event underscores the broader challenges facing the Kennedy Center. The legal battle adds an intriguing layer, showing how institutional issues can intersect with cultural honors.
