Kelly Osbourne rejects mum Sharon Osbourne’s far-right views: ‘It’s hard’

The 41-year-old TV star attended Tuesday night’s National Television Awards, where she was asked by the press about Sharon’s backing of the far-right activist. Sharon, 73, sparked controversy earlier this year after publicly saying she would attend a rally organised by Robinson. Responding to an Instagram post which promoted the Unite the Kingdom march in May, Sharon said: ‘See you at the march.’ Asked about the comment, Kelly made clear that it was a topic the pair did not see eye to eye on. ‘I don’t agree. I don’t agree with my mum, no,’ she said. A spokesman for Centrepoint said: ‘Sharon supported us on this campaign, and, while she is referred to as an ambassador in that context, she was not an official ambassador for Centrepoint. ‘We have no plans to work together in the future. ‘Political activity like this runs counter to our values and our long history of supporting young people regardless of their background, religion or ethnicity. ‘If we want young people to thrive in this country, then we need to ensure our society continues to allow them to live without fear and to access the opportunities they need to start education or work and leave homelessness behind.’ Robinson – real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon – is a far-right activist (Picture: Mario Tama/Getty Images) At the NTA’s, Kelly said: ‘I don’t agree. After demanding that their visas be revoked as a result, Osbourne said their set featured ‘projections of anti-Israel messages and hate speech’ and branded the trio ‘uneducated’. Once Sharon confirmed her appearance at the far-right rally, Keecap wrote on X: ‘F**k @MrsSOsbourne’. The former X Factor judge has faced controversy over her political views before.
