Kelly Brook reflects on meeting Billy Zane while she was still with ex Jason Statham and says 'someone came along and saw me for the woman I'd become'

Kelly Brook spoke about the complicated love triangle she found herself in with Hollywood heavyweights Jason Statham and Billy Zane. The presenter, 46, explained she had been dating actor Jason for seven years, when she met Billy. Kelly described the end of her engagement to Jason as 'inevitable' as she then went on to pursue Billy. The conversation came about on Loose Women on Monday after Titanic, which starred Billy, was voted the best love triangle in cinema history. After being posed the question: 'Can you love two people at the same time?' Kelly told the panel more about how her relationship with Billy came about. Admitting she had been in love triangles in the past, Kelly said: 'There were a few overlaps because you don't have the emotional maturity to acknowledge something has come to an end or you've outgrown something. I do feel like I've been in a situation a few times where that has happened. 'When I met Cal from Titanic, I was with somebody else when we first met. My first boyfriend, I'd been with him since I was 18 when I met him. 'When I met Billy Zane, I was 25. I was a young woman. My first boyfriend didn't really see me as a woman, he still saw me as a girl. I think someone coming along and seeing me for the woman that I had become rather than the girl I was made me step into that new person a lot more. 'It was inevitable.' Kelly then joked while she was dating Billy, her friends would call her 'Rose'. Rose was Kate Winslet's character in Titanic. In the film, there is a complicated love triangle between her poor artist rescuer Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) and her wealthy, controlling, and abusive fiancé Caledon (Billy). Kelly dated Jason between 1997 and 2004, and he even popped the question in that period. Kelly had a good job at MTV at the time however the pair moved to Los Angeles and Jason soon began to find success on the silver screen, eventually becoming one of Hollywood's biggest action stars, with her as his 'support network'.However, she confessed that while his career skyrocketed, her own 'floundered', admitting that she felt 'neglected' when he failed to give her the same support that she'd given him. Kelly told the panel more about how her relationship with Billy came about.She said on Elizabeth Day's How To Fail podcast: 'His career just took off and it just became the most incredible thing because I did so much and didn't look after myself, I just felt so neglected in that dynamic and to the point where I actually fell out of love with him in the end because he hadn't showed up for me like I'd showed up for him, I didn't feel.'She explained that she made the call to end the relationship because she felt Jason 'didn't know who I was anymore', and while it was difficult it was 'the best decision'.Kelly said: 'So we broke up and I think he just turned around to me and was like, “Why are you leaving now? Look I'm a movie star and I'm a millionaire, why now?”Kelly revealed that Jason not wanting to commit to marriage or children is partly the reason she got swept up in a romance with Billy after the pair met on the set of Survival Island, also known as Three, in 2004.The couple became engaged and lived together in a £1 million farmhouse in Kent before their split in 2008 after Kelly reportedly decided 'Billy is not the man she wants to marry.' Although they rekindled their romance for the last time at the beginning of 2008, the wedding was off again with Kelly announcing that she was too young to marry at the age of 28.It then appeared that the £35,000 engagement ring wasn't enough to keep them together after they split for good in September 2008.She previously told Weekend Magazine: 'Jason was my first love. Billy was never going to be somebody I wanted to spend my life with. It was a fling. 'I knew the relationship with Billy would either make us or break us, and it broke us. Jason says even to this day, “It was my ego. I couldn’t get my head around it".' Kelly is now happily married to model Jeremy Parisi, 41.
