The presenter, 46, was part of the Loose Women panel on Monday when they discussed the stigma around women choosing to be child-free.It came about after Lady Gaga secretly welcomed her first child with fiancé Michael Polansky, with the singer saying it was her life's dream to become a mother. Kelly, who is married to husband Jeremy Parisi, 41, hit out at 'mummy propaganda' as she said how she was 'made to feel there was something wrong with me' for not having a desire to start a family. She said: 'I think it's nice now we can talk so openly [about not wanting children] because 10 years ago when I talked about not having children that I used to feel like there was something wrong with me.'Other women would make me feel like there was something wrong with me for not wanting to have children. It doesn't mean that you don't love children, it just means that your lifestyle is set up in a way where you are happy and fulfilled.' Kelly went on to hit out at 'mummy propaganda' after Coleen Nolan said her sister Denise, 74, said she didn't want children 'because she's selfish'. Insisting those that choose to not have children aren't 'selfish', the TV star said: 'There's so much of that around, like "how do you know what real love is if you don't have children? How can you be a real woman if you haven't given birth." 'All of these things are made to make women feel like they are less than a woman because of it.'I used to be so frightened talking about it. If I did talk about it, I was trolled and made to feel like an outcast. More women are realising now there is more to life than children. You can have a marriage, career and do amazing things.' Kelly went on to say when she met her husband Jeremy, she had her own house and a great career and so she wasn't looking to meet a man to give her anything such as marriage, children or financial support. She said: 'When I met my husband, I met him at a time where it was just love. I wasn't expecting anything else.'Kelly previously spoke further about her much-publicised decision to be child-free, revealing that traumas from her past made her feel like a 'failure', resulting in a negative experience of her previous pursuit of children. Kelly went on to hit out at 'mummy propaganda' after Coleen Nolan said her sister Denise, 74, said she didn't want children 'because she's selfish'The former model tragically lost her baby six months pregnant in 2011, while with former fiancé and Scottish rugby player Thom Evans. She described it as the 'most devastating thing' and doesn't think she can 'fully recover from that'. She said previously: 'In my 20s and 30s, I had miscarriages and past relationships that took their toll on me, physically and emotionally. It affected my life, my career and how I looked at myself; it made me feel like a bit of a failure. It made me judge my partners negatively, by how they responded to it.'She added that all of that culminated in her never really having a 'positive experience' of either pregnancies or trying for children.
