Keigo Higashino’s Posthumous ‘Eien no Kioku’ Tops Billboard Japan Book Hot 100 With Record Points for a Novel

The previous record was held by Uketsu’s Hen na Chizu (Strange Maps, 11,566 points), which topped the chart in its very first week on the list released Nov. 6, 2025. The volume also places No. 13 in brick-and-mortar, a sign of its enduring popularity more than a month after its initial release. Yuto Suzuki’s SAKAMOTO DAYS Vol. 28 enters at No. 3, placing No. 2 in both brick-and-mortar and e-books. The final volume of Yuuki Tabata’s Black Clover, serialized since 2015, places No. 3 in both brick-and-mortar and e-books to land at No. 4 overall. Elsewhere on the chart, all 37 volumes of Hiroya Oku’s GANTZ charts between No. 14 and No. 51 following an e-book sale at major digital retailers this week.
