Keesara SHO, SI caught in ACB case over ₹5 lakh bribe

SHO Arkapally Anjaneyulu and Sub-Inspector Dyapa Gnanender Reddy | Photo Credit: Special arrangement The Station House Officer (SHO) and a Sub-Inspector (SI) of Keesara police station were caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in a ₹5 lakh bribery case late on Wednesday (September 16, 2026) night. The money was allegedly demanded for granting station bail and not harassing the complainant and his friend in a case registered at the police station.Inspector and SHO Arkapally Anjaneyulu and Sub-Inspector Dyapa Gnanender Reddy have been named as accused in the case.According to the ACB, Mr. Reddy was caught around 11.25 p.m. on September 16 by its City Range-I unit while allegedly accepting ₹5 lakh from the complainant on Anjaneyulu’s instructions.The tainted amount was recovered from Mr. Reddy’s possession at his instance, the agency said.The ACB alleged that the two officers had demanded the money in return for granting station bail and ensuring that the complainant and his friend were not harassed in connection with an already registered case at Keesara police station.Both officers are being produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Nampally for judicial remand.The identity of the complainant has been withheld for security reasons.
