KDE Linux Now Providing Automatic Btrfs Snapshots For All User Files

With the end of the month comes a new monthly status report from the KDE Linux project as their in-house distribution project. Arguably the most exciting KDE Linux improvement this month in the name of data safety is now turning on automatic Btrfs snapshots for all user files with users' home folders now being Btrfs sub-volumes. This KDE Linux change setup Snapper for KIO-Snapshot for a nicer user home snapshot experience, if wanting to restore your user files to an earlier state but not a replacement to backing up your data to a separate device for typical back-up purposes. KDE Linux also features the latest work in KIO-Snapshot for nice Dolphin file manager integration and the like around Btrfs snapshots. Beyond the main excitement of this "undo support" via Btrfs snapshots, KDE Linux in August separately decided to enable CJKV input support by default to provide nice support for Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese text input support. This month also brought more work around QA and testing, security improvements, and various bug fixes.
