Katie Price insists police were ‘looking for Lee Andrews in rivers’ and feared he was DEAD before arrest and prison

KATIE Price insists police feared Lee Andrews was dead and conducted searches in rivers before he was arrested and jailed in Dubai. The 48-year-old’s husband went missing for nearly three weeks in May, with Katie recalling how he was bound and hooded in a car during a FaceTime call with her. Following his release, Lee made social media videos in which he claimed he’d been badly treated and had marks on his body where he’d been shackled. Sign up for the Showbiz newsletter Thank you! In a new podcast interview with Heretics host Andrew Gould, Katie opened up about his disappearance. She said: “They [British Embassy] had to tell me that, if I get a ransom call what I have to do and the kind of questions they would want me to ask.” She continued: “He was kidnapped at gunpoint by the border. Because I made enough noise, but it was three days before they said Kate would you be up for a national press thing. They were setting that up for me to do because no one believed it.” Katie was told that men in their 40s who had disappeared like Lee often committed suicide or were found in rivers if they were missing for more than three days. “They were trying to see if there was a river near where he was,” she said. “They were worried that he’d run out of water and dehydrate or if they do find you in the water, because it’s hot there, your body will float quicker, whereas in England it takes ages for the body to float.” Most read in Showbiz Katie feared Lee might have taken his own life because he couldn’t deal with the intense scrutiny around him since starting a relationship with her in January. Lee was recently released from prison for a second time in a matter of weeks after he was jailed for allegations of fraud. He was locked up, alongside his dad Pete, but still managed to speak to Katie three times a day on the phone. Katie says she needs to have a serious conversation with her man after a voice note of him trying to flog an alleged sex tape of them was leaked. She denies that such a tape exists, saying she “learned her lesson” after a sex tape of her and ex Dane Bowers was released in the early noughties. Comment now
