Katherine Ryan makes NSFW confession about ‘lazy’ sex life with husband

The Canadian-Irish comedian married Bobby via civil partnership in 2019, after first dating as teenagers and reconnecting later in life. The pair, both 43, share three children together, in Fred, Fenna and Holland, plus one daughter from a previous relationship of Katherine’s. Her family life has served as inspiration for much of Katherine’s work, including stand-up performances where she’s poked fun at his snoring and love of golf. In 2024, Katherine admitted that she and Bobby only had sex ‘exactly twice a month,’ logging the deed ‘just in case I get pregnant.’ In a new interview, Katherine has revealed that this number has risen somewhat – and shared more details of her and Bobby’s bedroom life. It’s probably once a week, sometimes twice a week, but still not loads.’ This, she admitted, works for both of them. ‘I just don’t try. I’m a lazy shag. I’m really vanilla and Bobby is quite vanilla. We’re well matched in that way,’ the Last One Laughing star added. But the things I’ve seen and heard on my travels, my God. I just want to have nice, brief, marital sex. That’s it.’ Katherine previously shared with The Telegraph that the number had gone up from twice a month, adding: ‘I do think it’s important. ‘But in reality, working parents who have small children are so knackered by nighttime, intimacy is just off the table. She toldshe told MailOnline in 2021: ‘In the morning, I flipped out because I don’t have one-night stands. Ever. ‘But he was so gentlemanly. He texted me right away. He didn’t play any games and we kept messaging back and forth. ‘As soon as I got back to London, I invited him to visit. He took a week off work and came. ‘Then and there I said: “I think we might end up together.” He said: “Yeah, I think we might.”’ – and their relationship went from strength to strength from there.
