Kartik Aaryan shares Captain India director's gratitude note as shoot begins

Actor Kartik Aaryan is gearing up to begin the shooting of Captain India, and director Shimit Amin has a heartfelt message for the film’s crew ahead of their big day. Kartik recently shared Amin’s emotional note on social media, in which the filmmaker thanked his team for standing strong despite the challenges they faced over the past few months.Addressing the Captain India crew, Amin wrote, “As we embark on this journey to finally make our film, I want to thank each and everyone of you, from the bottom of my heart.” He acknowledged the difficulties the team had encountered, adding that their determination to keep going had been “tremendously inspiring” to witness.Amin also spoke about the passion driving the team, saying that everyone involved “carries the burden of wanting to make a really good film”. Calling that feeling “magical”, the filmmaker said he could feel the team’s energy and that it helped him get through some of the toughest moments of the filmmaking process.On the eve of what he described as their “big day”, Amin expressed his pride in the entire team. “I really feel we have the best team in the world! Really!!! I am so proud of each and every one on this team,” he wrote, before signing off with, “Good luck to us all. Forever grateful, forever inspired.” Kartik, meanwhile, recently gave fans a glimpse into his preparations for Captain India. The actor shared a series of pictures from his journey to London, including a selfie from his flight where he was seen holding the film’s shooting script while listening to music. Other pictures showed airports, flights, luggage and Kartik sitting inside a car.Sharing the carousel, Kartik wrote, “VABB to EGLL. #CaptainIndia,” along with an Indian national flag emoji. Directed by Shimit Amin, Captain India marks the filmmaker’s return to the director’s chair after more than a decade. Amin is best known for films such as Chak De! India and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year. The upcoming film is produced by T-Series, Baweja Studios and Dopamine Studios.Kartik is expected to play a pilot in the film, which is inspired by a historic evacuation mission. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Parvathy Thiruvothu is expected to be part of the film in an important role, while actor Manish Chaudhary has also reportedly joined the cast.Captain India is scheduled to release in theatres on August 13, 2027.Aaryan will next be seen in Naagzilla, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.
