The event brought together more than 30 artists — including Maluma, Eladio Carrión, Greeicy, Draco Rosa and Sebastián Yatra — with the goal of raising funds to support affected families and aid in the reconstruction of areas impacted by the 7.4 magnitude earthquake. In total, the concert raised more than 11 billion Colombian pesos — approximately $3.6 million — for those in need. Karol, streaming live from California, performed “Coleccionando Heridas” and “Milagros,” and shared a heartfelt message about how emotional it was to witness the disaster from afar. “Many of us — most of us, maybe all of us — have found these days incredibly difficult, seeing how our people are going through such a tough situation. We feel frustrated; it feels selfish to sleep, it feels wrong to be far away,” the artist said between songs. “At the same time, it’s been incredible to see how, in moments like these, we show who we are and what we Colombians are made of: love, solidarity, empathy, tolerance, the ability to come together, to support one another, to unite and to live as a community.” The Medellín-born superstar added that this mindset should continue even after the emergency passes. “This has been a beautiful lesson in this moment, one that we should apply not just because we’re in an emergency like this, but to keep that attitude, to keep loving each other, taking care of each other, and protecting one another,” she stated.
