Kareena Kapoor teases Saif Ali Khan over baby plans on The Great Indian Kapil Show

Actor Saif Ali Khan found himself in the middle of lighthearted banter on The Great Indian Kapil Show after host Kapil Sharma and wife Kareena Kapoor Khan teased him about having a child in every decade of his life. In a recently released promo for the comedy chat show, Kareena’s playful baby question left Saif blushing and visibly embarrassed on stage.The exchange began when Kapil said, “Sir, it's a blessing that you have a child every decade.” Joining in the banter, Kareena turned to her husband and asked, “Saifu, you have a child every decade. What's the plan now?”Before Saif could offer a response, co-host Archana Puran Singh added, “We're about to enter another decade soon,” to which Kareena quickly replied, “Yes, we are, but not with me.” The witty retort left Saif laughing in embarrassment as the host and studio audience broke into laughter.This is not the first instance where Kareena has brought up the topic. In a previous interview with Vogue, the actor had praised Saif for balancing fatherhood across different generations, pointing out that he had embraced parenthood in his twenties, thirties, forties, and fifties. However, she firmly ruled out expanding their family any further. “Saif has had a child every decade, in his twenties, thirties, forties and now in his fifties. I've told him, in your sixties, that's not happening. I think only a man as broad-minded as Saif could be a father of four children at very different stages,” Kareena had stated. She added that the couple maintains a system to manage their personal and professional commitments: “We've made a pact that when he's shooting for a film, I will try not to work on one at the same time (and vice versa).”Saif and Kareena got married in October 2012 in a private ceremony in Mumbai following several years of dating. The couple subsequently welcomed two sons together: their elder son, Taimur Ali Khan, born in December 2016, and their younger son, Jehangir Ali Khan (Jeh), born in February 2021. Saif was earlier married to actor Amrita Singh from 1991 until their divorce in 2004. From his first marriage, Saif has two children: daughter Sara Ali Khan, who made her acting debut in 2018 and has established her own career in Hindi cinema, and son Ibrahim Ali Khan, who has worked behind the scenes as an assistant director and is preparing for his acting debut.Meanwhile, Kareena's last theatrical release was Daayra (2026). The crime thriller directed by Meghna Gulzar also featured actor Prithviraj Sukumaran.Saif was recently seen in director Priyadarshan's psychological thriller, Haiwaan (2026), in which he reunited with actor Akshay Kumar after 17 years.
