Kaia Gerber and Homer Gere wow crowds at The Shards screening

US actors Kaia Gerber and Homer Gere wowed crowds as they attended a screening for their new TV series The Shards.The thriller series is based on the best-selling novel of the same name, and is set against the backdrop of a Los Angeles prep school in the 1980s as it faces a wave of murders by a local serial killer.The show was created by writer and director Ryan Murphy, famed for American Horror Story, and sees the daughter of Cindy Crawford star alongside the son of her ex-husband, Richard Gere.Homer Gere (Ian West/PA)PA WireModel and actress Gerber, 24, stunned in a ruffled maxi black dress which had a sultry open detail at its side, as she posed for photos at the London screening for The Shards on Thursday.The star, who is the daughter of famous model Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, had her brown hair in a messy updo and paired her simple ensemble with black heels.She was flanked at the event by her co-star Homer, who plays mysterious new student Robert Mallory in the show, and is the son of award-winning actor Gere and former Bond girl Carey Lowell.The 26-year-old wore a simple black pinstripe suit and beige shirt to the event while his hair was in dark curls, channelling the signature suave look of his father in the 1980s.Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford in 1993 (Michael Ferguson/Alamy/PA)Their respective parents, Crawford and Gere, were married in the 1990s – having had a sudden elopement in Las Vegas in 1991, which ultimately ended with their divorce after four years of marriage.Crawford later tied the knot with her now-husband Gerber in 1998 and the pair have two children together – her actress daughter Kaia and her son Presley, who is a model.Gere married Lowell in 2002 shortly after the birth of their son Homer but they divorced in 2016. He is now married to Spanish publicist Alejandra Silva.Gerber and her co-star were joined at the event by singer and actress Hayes Warner, who similarly matched the all-black theme and wore a dress with a cinched waist, a ruffled skirt and a plunging neckline.Others in attendance include Igby Rigney and Graham Campbell, who both looked sharp in black suits.
