Police checked the area and the only person in the vicinity was a man walking on South Woodland Road near the Cleveland Metroparks’ polo field.He said he wasn’t there and was walking to Bedford, with no further action taken by police.General assist: Fairmount BoulevardPolice assisted a man who was dropped off near the former Accoyo alpaca farm after a dispute with his boss around 3:30 p.m. Sept. 8.At that point, he did not know where he was, so an officer gave him a courtesy ride back to his job on Partridge Lane.Suspicious activity, various locationsPolice checked on a car alarm that went off on Mather Lane at 10:14 p.m. Sept. 8.The alarm reset and all appeared to be quiet in the area.-- Police later checked on a garage door found open on Roundwood Road at 10:50 a.m. Sept. 9, where the house appeared to be secure.Erratic drivers: various locationsA University School resource officer advised a student about speeding on the SOM Center Road campus at 12:14 p.m. Sept. 6.-- Hunting Valley alerted officers in Pepper Pike to a westbound driver reportedly going very slowly on South Woodland Road at 9:54 p.m. Sept. 7.-- Officers were unable to locate a northbound car on SOM Center reportedly driving slowly and going left of center at 10:24 p.m. Sept. 11.Get police blotters by email every weekday for free with our Police Blotter newsletter.
