Junior and Princess Andre reveal parents Katie Price and Peter Andre’s appearance on ITV2 show ‘solidifies their truce’

JUNIOR and Princess Andre have revealed that their parents Katie Price and Peter Andre’s appearance on her upcoming ITV2 series “solidifies a truce”. Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Princess said: “Both parents are in this show, it’s always good filming with our parents, they know what they are doing. The former couple had a tumultuous relationship since their split, but in a bid to protect their families, they decided to bury the hatchet for good and have pledged not to badmouth each other. Princess went on to say that family means everything to her and having both parents on the show was the cherry on the top. She told us at today’s ITV reality showcase: “Filming with my brother is so much fun, the whole point of reality TV is that it’s meant to be real and you get to see the real connections on there. Most read in Showbiz “It’s nice to be with my brother and have both parents in it because I’m really close to them and everyone can see that.” Last series, Princess jumped back into the dating pool after her split. But the star has revealed that fans won’t get to see more dating just yet, as she’s put her love life on hold while she focuses on her new venture. It comes after Princess launched her own beauty business, By Princess. News broke of Princess’ business venture last year following her second deal with high street giant Superdrug, as the face of their affordable cosmetics line, Studio London. “This series you won’t see anything about dating, just purely because I’ve been focusing so much on my beauty brand and things that are really important,” Princess said. “You won’t see any dating but who knows what will happen in the future,” Princess said. Meanwhile, singer Junior teased: “I’m looking to release a new track this year and you’ll see some of that on Princess Diaries, I may be performing.” With her hands full with her new makeup venture, Princess said she may need a break before signing up for a fourth series. She said: “I will definitely not turn down another series, but I definitely want a break. “I love being busy and if another series came by tomorrow, then I would do it.” When asked if I’m A Celebrity was still on the radar for the brother and sister duo, Princess said: “Definitely,” while Junior told us: “We’re the only jungle babies ever, so we have to do it surely.” Quizzed over whether they’d been asked to do it, Junior replied: “We’re waiting.” Former glamour model Katie, 48, will be making her debut in the new series of Princess’ reality show. In February, a source said that Katie and Peter had finally “united for the sake of their kids” after years of clashing – and involved no court proceedings or gagging orders. The insider insisted that the exes came to this agreement before the former glamour model’s wedding to Lee Andrews in Dubai last month. A source close to the situation told The Sun: “Katie and Pete decided enough was enough, and it was a mutual decision to come together as adults and put an end to their issues once and for all. “It was really sad to see what their fallout did to their kids, Princess and Junior, as ultimately it’s the kids that suffer most when their divorced parents don’t get on, and they want their children to be happy.” The source explained that Katie and Peter decided to sort things away from public eye but with their solicitors. “There were no court proceedings or lawsuits against each other, this isn’t about anyone being gagged – they just decided to be grown ups and sort this out in a legal agreement with lawyers involved because they wanted to formally draw a line under it so nothing can be misinterpreted,” they said. “So many other people have chipped into this row, and spread lies and false information. “Both Kate and Pete realise that they were both told things that were untrue, and felt like this statement was the best way to send a message to the world that they are united for the sake of their kids.” Their agreement is said to have not come out of the blue and has been a work progress for the last few months. “This has been months in the making, and was actually done before Katie’s recent wedding, so her recent circumstances haven’t had any bearing on this,” source told us. Those close to them are hopeful that pair can work on maintaining an amicable relationship to make life easier for their kids going forward. They said: “At the end of the day, the hope is that Pete and Kate can one day build a friendship again. “They have been through a lot together and despite their differences, have two beautiful kids they are both really proud of. “They’ve realised the kids are grown up now so are old enough to understand everything that’s gone on, and they both want to be there in the same room one day if Junior or Princess were to get married or have kids of their own. “Neither of them really wanted things to go as far, or be made as public, as they became, and that was shown when Pete quietly took down the surprise statement he made about Kate a few months ago. “It’s a really positive step for everyone involved, and those closest to Pete and Kate are really impressed by their maturity after what has been an ugly chapter they all want to put behind them.” The exes revealed the news in a joint statement on social media earlier this year. They said: “Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect. “We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children. “We have reached a mutual agreement, both legally and personally confirming that neither of us will speak negatively about the other going forward. This decision reflects a shared commitment to our family and stability. “We want to stand united for our children. We are hoping this is a start of a positive relationship. “We ask for understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead.” Comment now
