Over the past seven or eight years, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, and a seemingly rotating third position, filled by shows like My Hero Academia and Chainsaw Man have defined the modern age of anime, in which the art form has exploded into a global mainstream form of entertainment. As such, the industry's top titles have been expanding to different mediums, with the gaming space being most welcome. Jujutsu Kaisen, which just wrapped up its third season this year, has been one of the most active anime franchises in the gaming world, and that doesn't appear likely to change as fans patiently wait for news about its upcoming, currently in-production, fourth season. The series is now collaborating with one of the most successful mobile games in history, but there's a catch for fans looking to get in on the fun. Jujutsu Kaisen Is in the Midst of a Major Gaming Crossover, but There's a Catch In its latest gaming collaboration, Jujutsu Kaisen is teaming up with hit mobile game Monster Strike for a new limited special event. The latest collaboration marks the third between the two franchises, and the latest will finally allow players to use previous gacha characters Yuji Itadori, Kento Nanami, and Satoru Gojo to their full potential, with the addition of their "true beastification" forms. The three previously available characters will be once again available with higher drop rates for a limited time. Additional characters Kinji Hikari, Kirara Hiroshi, and Kenjaku will also be made available during the collaboration. However, Jujutsu Kaisen fans intrigued by the special event will find a rather large hurdle standing in front of them. Monster Strike, despite being an incredibly successful mobile game, shut down its English version servers all the way back in 2017, and can only be played on the native Japanese or Chinese versions. Jujutsu Kaisen has years of popularity and relevance ahead, leaving the door open for countless gaming crossovers in the future.
