Judge’s son, 30, guns down three instructors in horror killing spree at shooting range before taking his own life

Roads were blocked and residents were ordered to shelter indoors as the fugitive was armed and represented an “active threat”. Police Director Lazar Scepanovic said: “After the suspect was surrounded and found himself with no way out, he opening fire on police officers before killing himself with a fire arm.” Shabunin is understood to be the son of a judge from Perm, Russia. Police said Shabunin had visited the shooting range in the days before the killings. The range’s owner reportedly had a lucky escape as he was asleep in another room at the time of the mass shooting. Police said Shabunin had travelled to Montenegro by bus and had visited the country several times previously. Local reports said he crossed Montenegro’s border eight times between 7 and July 12, always aboard buses. The motive for the triple killing remains unknown. No police casualties were reported. Montenegro’s government declared today and tomorrow as days of national mourning. Comment now
