Joy Behar Returned To ‘The View’ After Nearly A Month-Long Absence To The Tune Of Elton John’s “The B***h Is Back”

Joy Behar returned to The View on Tuesday after a month-long absence following an accident that dislocated her shoulder. The ABC daytime talk show co-host was greeted by an effusive live audience cheering her comeback as Elton John’s “The B**h Is Back” played in the background. “You should’ve played ‘God Save the Queen ‘; that would’ve been smart,” Behar joked about the song choice, with Whoopi Goldberg adding, “He already did.” Behar thanked the audience for the “extremely lovely welcome,” noting that she was absent after she “went down hard in this building,” which dislocated her shoulder. “I don’t know if that’s ever happened to anybody, but it’s worse than childbirth,” Behar quipped. “I would have given up names to the CIA. That kind of torture. It was bad.” Watch on Deadline During her absence, Behar said she “missed the topics” her fellow co-hosts got into, particularly pointing out “Trump talking about all these asses he’s looking at.” “Even when I went down and went to the hospital, the doctor didn’t even look at my ass like that with such love and affection,” the stand-up comedian joked. Behar’s time off The View had her acknowledging she “miss[ed] you all very much,” adding, “All the people who work here are so divine. I really do miss the place when I’m not here.” Behar remembered when Goldberg had pneumonia, the show “didn’t feel right.” “But things happen. You can’t help it. I couldn’t help that I went down,” she added. Behar’s last appearance on The View had been on September 30. On October 7, the talk show celebrated Behar’s birthday, but she wasn’t there as she was on the mend. Watch Behar’s return to The View in the video below.
