Josie Gibson reveals her son Reggie's father is back in his life after years of estrangement and says they're 'trying to work out their relationship'

Josie Gibson has revealed the father of her son, Terry Bond, is back in their lives after a period of estrangement and says they are 'trying to work it out'.The This Morning star, 41, said that the former couple are trying to work through co-parenting their son Reggie, who is now seven years old.Josie had not publicly revealed that Terry was estranged from his son, but she has now revealed they are trying to rebuild their relationship.The TV personality and her ex split just four months after Reggie was born in 2018 and briefly lived together again during the pandemic so they could co-parent.Josie has largely raised her son on her own and following a period of absence, Terry is back and they are trying to work things out for their son.Speaking to the Sun, Josie said: 'We're trying to build our relationship back to best co-parent Reggie and create a stable life for our son.' She said: 'I don't want different men around my son, I'm really funny about things like that. I would never let Reg see me with a man. I've been asked to do dating shows and I've turned them down.'Josie said being in the public eye has taught her to protect herself. She explained: 'I used to be really soft-hearted, but people took the mick. They take your kindness for weakness. I used to give a lot more people access to my life, and now I don't. I don't let people in at all.'During the Covid pandemic, Josie revealed that her former partner had moved in and out of her home once again, after he reentered the lives of her and their son.Before he moved back in, Josie admitted that she was still in love with her ex, after he moved back into her home during the COVID-19 lockdown.But the Bristolian has now told new! magazine of Terry: 'He's moved out now. I'm choosing to do it on my own for a little bit at the moment. My sisters help, I'm very lucky. I want to put all my efforts into being a mum.'The bubbly TV personality also went on to share her ambitions for her sole offspring, saying: 'I want Reg to grow into something amazing, like a space engineer, something like that. I want him to excel.' She said of her complicated relationship with her ex: 'He is one of those people you can't live with you can't live without. Terry is asthmatic, so we waited for three weeks. I couldn't take Reggie to the supermarket anymore so he moved in.'On how they were coping with residing under the same roof, the reality star said: 'We have never got on so well.'When asked whether she believed there was a chance they could rekindle their romance, she replied: 'We still stay in separate rooms but yeah, I love him to bits.'When there is a pandemic you realise the little things are so trivial. The big things are important. What we used to argue about seems so trivial, so unimportant.''Who knows, I hope so,' the media personality said on whether the pair would continue to live with eachother once the restrictions were lifted.She continued: 'I really hope so.
