Jordan Stephens breaks silence on ‘very tough’ Jade Thirlwall split – admitting he still hasn’t ‘processed’ break-up

JORDAN Stephens has broken his silence on his ‘very tough’ break-up from Jade Thirlwall. He said: “I think I’m uncomfortable with even the concept of it being out. “But I think it’s important to say to listeners who messaged me, I won’t avoid something that’s quite obvious. Jordan has now opened up on the break-up on his podcast Credit: Instagram/@missme.4eva He admitted there would be ‘more to come’ on the pair splitting Credit: Alamy “I don’t want to pretend that isn’t happening, or hasn’t happened. “I’m conflicted because I pride myself on being open and transparent. “But this is difficult because, if I’m to believe how quickly speculation can arise, I’m always a couple words or sentences away from making things worse or [adding fuel to the fire].” Jordan went on to suggest he wasn’t willing to go into details as to why he split from It Girl singer Jade until “things have settled”. Some will have listened to the podcast. “I think they’d have a unique angle on what’s been spoken about. “So even if I came on here and said, ‘Yeah, it’s been really tough,’ bang: ‘Jordan says it’s been really tough. Why has it been really tough?’ Then it continues.” He further added he was still processing the split and having it become public knowledge to his fans and podcast listeners, adding: “Honestly, I’ve still not processed [it]. “I will say that I think, overall, people have… People are kind.” Going even further, Jordan continued to open up and suggested more would “come out” about the break-up in due course. Jordan said: “Again, I’m a very transparent person, and things will come out, like, when necessary. And I don’t mean to be too cryptic; it really isn’t that deep. “I mean, it IS deep for me. But I think it’s important to… Like, whatever you may think, how complex and difficult relationships can be… that’s what it is. “There’s no difference or exemptions or unusual subjective feeling when you also have followers. It doesn’t work like that. Grief – or any powerful emotion like that – doesn’t discriminate. “My main point is, I want to protect people. “I don’t want to quite get into it. I’d love to be able to bring more specificity and insight. “One of the most apparent difficulties in my life is that I’m working in ways I care about, and those ways are very public-facing, and that’s a very peculiar way to approach complex emotions.” Jade began dating the Rizzle Kicks singer in 2020 and had since moved in together – dividing their time between homes in London and Margate. Last month, they failed to post about their sixth anniversary together, which they had shared updates about in the past. They have also not been photographed together for several months – with their last red carpet appearance as a couple being at February’s Brit Awards where they partied until the early hours. Neither have posted about each other on Instagram since mid-March, and Jordan recently wiped all of the TikTok videos they made together from his profile.
