Jordan Stephens Breaks Silence on Jade Thirlwall Split: “People Are Making All Types of Wild F*cking Theories”

JMEnternational//Getty ImagesJordan Stephens has opened up about his split from singer Jade Thirlwall for the first time since the news was announced last week.Speaking out on the Miss Me? podcast, which he hosts alongside friend and presenter Miquita Olivia, Jordan revealed he was uncomfortable with their breakup being out in the public domain and was confused as to how it had been shared.“I think I’m uncomfortable with even the concept of it being out," he explained. "I don’t know the root of the story.”Jordan went on to add he was conflicted about speaking out about the couple’s split, before going on to say, “I won’t avoid something that’s quite obvious. I don’t want to pretend that isn’t happening, or hasn’t happened. I’m conflicted because I pride myself on being open and transparent. Jade’s silent, the papers aren't silent and people making all types of wild fucking [theories] and desperately being like waiting for one of us to unfollow each other or waiting for us to poke. The metrics are bizarre."Last week, The Sun broke the news that the couple, who were together for six years, had split. A source had told the publication the couple had ended their relationship earlier this year but remained friends.“It’s not been an easy time but they’ve both been throwing themselves into work,” the source claimed. “Their friends adore them as a couple and are really hoping they get back together but it’s still very raw at the moment.”The pair got together during the COVID-19 lockdown in spring 2020, when Jade slid into Jordan’s DMs. Jade has not yet directly addressed the split.
