Jonathan Taylor: Trade rumors are out there, my wife discussing it doesn't change anything

Published October 26, 2026 09:42 AM The Colts’ decision to fire General Manager Chris Ballard last week has led to speculation about what other moves are coming for the team and particular attention has been paid to potential trades.Running back Jonathan Taylor’s name has come up in that speculation and he said last week that he hasn’t given any thought to a move because his focus is on playing. Taylor’s wife Ayanna doesn’t have games to prepare for, however, and she made a couple of social media videos discussing the possibility of a trade over the weekend. Those videos laid out the case for why the Colts would trade Taylor, including the lack of a 2027 first-round pick due to Ballard’s trade for Sauce Gardner. After Sunday’s 16-10 loss to the Vikings, Taylor was asked about those videos and he said he doesn’t think his wife is only talking about things that already in the larger conversations surrounding the team. “I think it’s been out there already, so I think her adding [to it] doesn’t really change anything,” Taylor said, via James Boyd of TheAthletic.com. “You know everybody’s on TikTok these days. So, you just have to come into work and stay focused.”Taylor’s teammates Quenton Nelson and DeForest Bucker have also seen their names come up in trade chatter and the only way that’s likely to stop before November 10 is if the Colts is if they go ahead with moves involving all three players.
