Jon Gosselin Says He Hasn’t Heard His Twins' Voices in 12 Years

Jon Gosselin Defends Son Collin Gosselin Over "Heartbreaking" MemoirJon Gosselin is speaking up about the silence. The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star who raised twins and sextuplets with ex Kate Gosselin on TLC said that because he's been alienated from his 26-year-olds, Madelyn and Cara, "since they were 13 years old," he's missed everything from graduations to prom. "Alienation is like silence—like I've never heard their voice," Jon said on the Legally Goff Podcast Nov. 3. "One day I was an all-active, everyday parent and it's upsetting." Meanwhile, the reality TV dad maintains contact with two of his youngest six, Collin and Hannah, both 22, who will appear with him in an upcoming Netflix documentary about their lives while making the show. "I haven't seen Mad and Car in like forever," the 49-year-old continued, speaking of his eldest. "I have pictures of them, but I still wouldn't be able to pick them out on the street. That's how much I haven't seen them." And Jon has a belief as to where the estrangement stems from.In his words, "I was just cut out of their lives. They, I guess, believe the narrative of TLC that I'm a s--t bag and that I don't want to see them." Jon also pointed to abuse allegations made by Collin in his memoir In The Shadow of 8. (For her part, Kate has denied Collin’s accusations, writing in an Oct. 22 TikTok, "I know who I am and my kids know who I truly am and to me, that's all that matters.") Now, Jon acknowledges how much he doesn't know about his children's lives. "I don't know anything about my twins," he confessed. "If they have boyfriends or girlfriends or what favorite color they have now or if they drive a car."Photo by Amanda Edwards/Getty ImagesAs for his other children—Joel, Aaden, Alexis and Leah, all 22—the DJ said the no-contact began before the pandemic, during his relationship with Colleen Conrad, his ex-girlfriend of seven years before he remarried Stephanie Lebo in 2025. As Jon clarified, "2018 is the last time I saw Joel, Aaden, Alexis, and Leah.” And while Jon is closest with kids Collin and Hannah, she recently revealed that she hasn’t lived with her dad or spoken to Collin in about a year.
