As a legendary anime franchise with countless examples of video games, anime, and merchandise to enjoy, JoJo's has had more than a few strange releases over the years. Taking full advantage of the series' incredibly unique sense of personality and style, JoJo releases tend to have the same amount of extravagance as the main series already provides. This time, the franchise will be returning to one of its most iconic eras with the perfect tie-in. Initially announced with a video trailer by the Taito_Toys X account, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fans are being treated to a hilariously styled PC mouse based on the Stone Mask from Phantom Blood. This tribute to the arc's central artifact is coming soon in Japan, with an official release date of July 31. Even though it lacks any additional functionality you would expect from a modern device, the simple corded office mouse is designed exactly like the stone mask from the original season — the same one, in fact, that turned Dio into one of anime's most iconic villains. On top of its visually striking design, the eyes of the mouse will also glow a bright red once plugged into your PC, making for one of the most unique anime-themed products you can get your hands on. Even though the strange release is far from a first for the franchise, the newest addition is one that has some of the most usability for spicing up your PC setup. Despite being the perfect addition to any JoJo fan's collection, the new official release does come with a major caveat, as the main way to get the mouse for yourself is by winning it from a prize machine in Japan, or purchasing it used from resellers online. Thankfully, some Japanese retailers like Hobby Genki have started opening pre-order pages that will go live on July 31st for fans to try to grab while they can. While these methods would either require you to pay some hefty shipping fees or go through a third-party importer to get it outside of Japan, it's at least reassuring that there are some methods to acquire the incredibly thematic JoJo's Bizarre Adventure merchandise item without having to empty your wallet for a trip to Japan.
